Silent Night
Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright
Round yon virgin mother and child.
Holy infant, so tender and mild
Sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace.
Silent night, holy night, wondrous star, lend thy light:
With the angels, let us sing,
alleluia to our King
Christ the Savior is born, Christ the Savior is born.
Tonight, at our drive-in Communion and Candlelight service, we will sing the first and fourth verses of Silent Night, which you can see above. I love the call of this beautiful carol we find in that last verse. Tonight, we get to join our voices with the angels of long ago, welcoming Christ Jesus into our world. Things are different in our world this year, yet this truth is still with us: we have a Savior who loved us enough to step into our world as one of us. We celebrate our Savior tonight and the hope we all have because of him. It is that wonderful hope that has and will continue to sustain. It is that hope which motivates us to live lives of love and service to one another and all of our neighbors in the world. Whether you are celebrating this hope with us at the drive-in, virtually, or over the weekend, I pray that joy will find you and fill you on this blessed evening.
Wishing you a Merry Christmas with much love!
